Tamaqua police are investigating theft and criminal mischief incidents that occurred on Lehigh Anthracite property.

Police said someone cut down three utility poles and stripped copper lines from them. In the process of cutting them down, police said three transformers were destroyed.

The copper ¾-inch wire measures about 90 feet. The approximate value of damage and theft is $78,600.
