A Carbon County man was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop.

State police at Lehighton said a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt was stopped at 8:39 a.m. on Jan. 1 along Lehigh Drive at Route 873, in Lehigh Township, Northampton County. The driver was identified as Gerald Robertson, 69, of Palmerton.

It was learned he had an active warrant for his arrest issued out of New Jersey.

After the warrant was confirmed, he was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning pending extradition to New Jersey.
