Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 South 3rd St., Lehighton, begins at 9:30 a.m. Included in this time is participation of the students from Jack and Jill Preschool. The 3- and 4-year-olds will be singing songs and reciting rhymes as well as receive nonperishable food items to support Trinity’s pantry. Lay minister Kathy Long presides. A children’s message will be presented.

Coffeehouse fellowship follows the worship service at 10:30 in Luther Hall hosted by Jack and Jill Preschool. Please take this opportunity to meet and greet the staff, parents and family members of the preschool. This is an opportunity to learn how Jack and Jill Preschool is helping the children for their future. Registration information will be available.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 begin at 10:45 a.m.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please pre-register by calling the church office to set up an appointment with Pastor Moore.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. An upcoming event to observe Trinity’s 150th anniversary is a family style covered dish dinner w/ entertainment by “The Amazing Magi” Feb. 4: 1-4 p.m. RSVP deadline is Jan. 26. Please bring a food item to share. The meal time is at 1 p.m. The magician, Pastor Mike, begins his presentation at 2:30 p.m. Snow date is Feb. 5.

Continuing looking ahead to observe Trinity’s 150th Anniversary: Youth-featured worship March 26 at 9:30 a.m., Concert April 16 at 11:15 a.m., anniversary festival worship June 4 at 3 p.m. followed by a catered meal. The next planning meeting is Feb. 19 at 12:15 p.m. 150th Anniversary booklets are available in the narthex or the church office for pick up.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. W., Lehighton, will hold worship service at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday.
