Lehighton borough employees have received a 3% raise in their salaries.
On a unanimous measure, borough council on Monday approved a resolution that set employee salaries for 2023.
Before the vote, Councilwoman Lisa Perry questioned what the percentage increase was for employees.
Borough Manager Steve Travers said it is 3% for everybody across the board.
Per the resolution, salaries are as follows:
• Borough manager (salaried position), $105,000.
• Borough secretary (salaried position), $61,898.
• Borough treasurer/assistant secretary, $53,664.
• Assistant treasurer/secretary, $53,664.
• Rec Center manager/Pool director/Annex property manager (salaried position), $73,246.
• Light & Power superintendent, $90,178.
• Light & Power assistant superintendent, $80,255.
• Public Works superintendent, $69,086.
• Public Works assistant superintendent, $62,667.
• Chief of police (salaried position), $95,000.
• Police administrative manager (salaried position), $65,000.
• Part-time police clerk, $14 an hour.
• Crossing guards (60% reimbursement from Lehighton Area School District), $14 an hour.
• Part-time laborers, $14 an hour.
• Lifeguards, first year, $10.50 an hour.
• Lifeguards, third year, $12 an hour.
• Lifeguards, sixth year, $13 an hour.
• Kitchen and office pool staff, first year, $10.50 an hour.
• Kitchen and office pool staff, seventh year, $12 an hour.
• Recreation assistance program employees, $9 an hour.
