Palmerton picked up victories in both boys and girls basketball on Monday.

Lehighton defeated Pine Grove, 62-48, in Schuylkill League action.

Owen Serfass led Lehighton (7-7, 2-4) with 15 points, while Cole Dietz and John Light added 10 apiece.

Chase Sarge had a game-high 16 for Pine Grove (2-11, 0-6).

Trey Keating paced Nativity (4-7, 2-3) with 28 points, including seven three-pointers.

Palmerton got back to its winning ways with a 58-23 rout of Palisades in Colonial League play.

The Blue Bombers (11-1, 7-1), who suffered their first loss on Saturday against Wilson, erupted for a 44-point first half. Matt Machalik and Brayden Hosier led Palmerton with 16 points apiece.

Palisades (2-10, 1-8), which has lost seven straight, was led by Kai Stiansen, who had 15 points.

Nine different Blue Devils scored, led by Kaleb Maksimik’s 19-point performance.

Corbin Wagner and Jacob Parker led Weatherly with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Weatherly falls to 1-10 overall and 0-5 in the league. Shenandoah Valley moves to 4-9 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Northwestern took control in the third quarter and went on to post a stunning 61-25 Colonial League victory over previously once-beaten Bangor.

The Tigers (11-1, 7-1) blanked Bangor 23-0 in the third quarter to turn a nine-point halftime lead into a blowout.

Brook Balliet had 21 points, Cara Thomas added 17, and Paige Sevrain chipped in 12 to lead Northwestern.

Madeline Stout topped Bangor (11-2, 9-1) with 11 points.

Katelynn Barthold sparked the third quarter Bulldogs’ run, as she posted nine of her 13 points in the decisive period.

Aubrey Pollard finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Bulldogs (8-5, 3-5).

Braelynn Roth led the Warriors (4-9, 1-8) with nine points.

Palmerton improves to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the league, while Palisades slips to 2-9 overall and 0-8 in league play.

Esme Petschauer finished with four points to lead the Fillies.

The Wreckers were paced by Mya Binder and Shawn Hollowell, who both scored five points.

Tamaqua edged Pottsville, 25-23.
