State police at the Lehighton barracks were summoned at 11:33 a.m. Nov. 1 to the Little World Day Care, Forest Street, Towamensing Township.

Police said they were asked to look into a suspected abuse case where an 11-month-old child who attended the day care had a bruise under his armpit.
