State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks released information on incidents:

• Police stopped a 2012 Nissan Sentra on Bank Street in Franklin Township at 8:33 p.m. Dec. 17, only to learn the man, a 43-year-old from Smyrna, Delaware, had an active warrant out for his arrest by the Allentown Probation Office.

Police said further investigation resulted in police finding suspected methamphetamine, resulting in the man also facing drug possession charges. His identity was not released.

• A 24-year-old Brodheadsville man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 10:05 p.m. Nov. 25.

Police said they stopped the man for a Motor Vehicle Code while driving a 2008 Hyundai Azera at the intersection of routes 115 and 209 in Chestnuhill Township, after which time they determined him to be under the influence of drugs.
