The Northwestern and Palmerton boys and girls basketball teams all posted victories on Monday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Palmerton-Northern Lehigh

Palmerton stayed unbeaten with a 56-21 Colonial League victory over Northern Lehigh.

Brayden Hosier paced a balanced Bombers’ (7-0, 5-0 CL) attack with a game-high 16 points.

Bryce LoPinto led the Bulldogs (0-7, 0-4 CL) with seven points.

Northwestern knocked off Catasauqua for a 43-31 Colonial League win.

Cayden Fitch drained two of his threes in the second period and finished with a game-high 14 points for the Tigers (4-4, 3-2 CL). Gavin Nelson added 12 points, with nine coming in the second half.

Bryann Rivera paced the Roughies (1-5, 1-3 CL) with 11 points.

Joe Roth paced the Indians (3-5, 1-3 SL) with a 13-point performance, while Brayden Johnson added 10.

Palmerton-Northern Lehigh

A 23-point third quarter helped Palmerton pull away for a 58-45 Colonial League victory over Northern Lehigh.

Hannah Barry caught fire with 10 of her game-high 24 points in the third quarter for the Bombers (6-0, 5-0 CL). Sydney Frantz scored five of her 12 points in the third, while Bethie Morgan finished with eight of her 15 points in the second half.

Aubrey Pollard paced the Bulldogs (3-3, 1-3 CL) with a team-high 20 points, while Katelyn Barthold and Dekota Barthold both ended up with 10 apiece.

Northwestern pushed its winning streak to five games with a 35-23 Colonial League victory over visiting Catasauqua.

Paige Sevrain had a solid second half for the Tigers (7-1, 4-1 CL), as she poured in 10 of her game-high 16 points after the intermission.

Hailey Jenkins finished with nine points for the Roughies (3-4, 1-3 CL).

Hazleton-Tamaqua

Tamaqua and Hazleton split in a non-league meet.

The Raiders swam to a 111-61 win on the girls’ side, while the Cougars posted a 92-78 win in the boys’ meet.

Gabby Blasko (200, 500 Free), Lexi Buchala (50 Free, 100 Fly) and Stephen Behun (50, 100 Free) all posted multiple event wins for Tamaqua.

Weatherly-Panther Valley

Weatherly rolled to a 48-31 win over Panther Valley.

Chance Stauffer led all scorers with 16 points for the Wreckers, while Dominic Kokinda ended up with 11.

Jarell Thomas was the lone Panther in double figures with 11 points.
