DA looking for salary report

Carbon County’s district attorney wants to know the information in the reports for the salary study as he prepares to make motions to set his employees’ salaries for 2023.

On Thursday, District Attorney Michael Greek approached the commissioners asking for a copy of the report from Evergreen.

He was told that while the county was moving forward on the new wage scales, the report on the study was not complete.

“It’s partially complete,” Commissioner Chris Lukasevich said, noting that eight of the 11 tasks have been completed. “Sufficient completion was done that allowed the commissioners to take their study and develop a wage scale and also to provide a subsequent to this meeting, a proposed updated complement.”

Greek said he believed that if the tasks that were complete and used in the process were available, then he should be allowed to request copies.

“I think it’s necessary if we’re going to have a salary board meeting to discuss salaries that we should at least have what went into the decision making process,” he told the board.

Lukasevich said he agreed with Greek’s request for the data with the exception of any personally identifiable information.
