The Nesquehoning Historical Society will host a Christmas presentation featuring musician Dave Matsinko and historian Vince Hydro at 6 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 1 p.m. on Dec. 17.
Matsinko’s performance will include selections on various acoustic instruments of music reflecting the heritage of our local area. Hydro will display images of Christmas from days gone by including:

• Mauch Chunk’s Happy Sam and his Christmas Tree.
• Travelling Christmas musicians, the Jaslickari and Tamburitzans.
• Christmas at the famous Mansion House Hotel.
These events will take place at the NHS Museum, 157 W. Railroad St., corner of Ratcliff and Railroad streets in Nesquehoning. There is ample parking available in the large lot located next to the museum. Come early to get a good parking spot and seat in the museum.
This event is open to the public free of charge, although donations to the Historical Society are always welcome.
