Blue Ridge adds unlimited data, increased broadband speeds

Blue Ridge Communications is breaking limits and increasing speeds.

As of Thursday, Blue Ridge customers, at every speed tier, will have unlimited data at no extra cost.

Along with unlimited data, Blue Ridge is announcing another broadband speed increase for the residential speed tiers. These speed increases will not affect its customers’ rates.

“As our customers’ internet experience evolves, we are growing with them: keeping up with new demands while maintaining our same reliable service. We are proud to be able to offer unlimited data to all of our customers and continue to increase internet speeds,” said Mark Masenheimer, vice president of Operations.

Effective Dec. 1, Blue Ridge will include unlimited data with the following internet speeds:

• Up to 1.2 Gig

• Up to 600mbps increases to up to 700mbps

• Up to 500mbps increases to up to 600mbps

• Up to 400mbps increases to up to 500mpbs

• Up to 300mbps increases to up to 400mbps

• Up to 200mbps increases to up to 300mbps

• Up to 75mbps increases to up to 100mbps

• Up to 50mbps

Blue Ridge has also announced that internet customers will receive $5 off of their monthly bill when they sign up for both AutoPay and paperless billing. This offer will be available to all internet customers effective Dec. 6. Some exclusions may apply.
