West Penn Township supervisors took the following action Monday morning:
• Township roadmaster Jeremy Frable announced that the township will receive a grant from the Schuylkill County Conservation District in the amount of $69,410 for Rabbit Run Road.
• The township will receive a grant from the Schuylkill County Conservation District in the amount of $104,768 for High Drive off Dairy Road.
• Board Chairman Tony Prudenti said he’d like the township to apply for a grant for a new truck for the township’s road department.
• Police Chief Jim Bonner thanked Terri Knoedler for donating cases of water to the township police department.
• Fire Chief Jeff Bradford announced that the West Penn Township Fire Company will hold its Breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 11 at the fire company.
• The fire company will hold its cheesesteak sale from 3-7 p.m. Dec. 17. They may be ordered online on the fire department’s Facebook page.
• The fire company will hold its New Year’s Eve Wing Sale from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 31. They may be ordered online on the fire department’s Facebook page.
