Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved a one-year maintenance contract with Reading Elevator, Berks County, for $42,360 to maintain the courthouse elevators.

Commissioners also approved an extension of a contract with Trinity Services Group Inc. through Oct. 31, 2023, for food service management for the county prison.

Personnel:

• Cody Valentine, Tamaqua, and Devin Buccieri, Frackville, promoted from part-time correctional officers to full-time as of Nov. 21, at a rate of $22.40 an hour.

• Marcy Schultz, Schuylkill Haven, is retiring as first deputy in the recorder of deeds office. Gerard Klema, of Norwegian Township, will be promoted to that position. He’ll earn $39,410. Commissioners praised Schultz’s work and wished her well.

• Angelo Oudinot, New Ringgold, and Robert Noll, Myerstown, resigned as correctional officers. Noll was a part time officer and Oudinot full-time.

• Lee Datchko, Mahanoy Township, resigned as a district justice assistant one.

• Kathleen Reidlinger, Orwigsburg, resigned as a discovery supervisor for the district attorney’s office.
