Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. Communion is served by continuous line with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues.

Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting. The Rev. Nancy L. Moore presides.

Coffeehouse fellowship follows the worship service in Luther Hall. The annual congregational meeting begins at 10:45. It is during this time the business of the congregation is reviewed and the budget is approved. Members are urged to attend.

Sunday Church School for students ages 3 though grade 6 will not be meeting Sunday. Classes resume Nov. 27.

The Trinity Thrift Store is open without reservations. Shopping hours are Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. An updated policy: donation drop-offs are accepted on Wednesdays during store hours, limited to five bags or boxes. The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or seek membership at Trinity, please contact the church office to register in-advance for the November instruction sessions. Baptismal class will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. Overview for prospective New Members is held on the fourth Sunday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Moore.

Events are scheduled to celebrate Trinity’s 150th anniversary. A joyous worship service to mark the 150th anniversary is Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. NEPA Bishop Christopher deForest presides. A light supper will follow. Additional plans include commemorative Teeshirts, family style covered dish dinner w/ games Feb. 4, youth-featured worship March 23, Cantata in April, anniversary festival worship June 4. You are invited to contribute ideas at the planning meeting Sunday immediately following the annual congregational meeting.

First Sunday in Advent-to-Christmas concert & organ recital by Minister of Music Alex Haggerty begins at 11:15 a.m. Nov. 27. All are welcome.

Trinity Thrift Store Christmas Sale takes place Nov. 25-26, and 28-29 in Luther Hall 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Seasonal gift items, toys, decorations, knick-knacks plus more are featured.

Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton has announced the following schedule.
