November 4, 1950 - Two early scoring drives by Palmerton come before heavy rains turn the field into a muddy mess and the Blue Bombers go on to post a 16-0 win over Wilson. Ed Shiner caps off a 65-yard march on the first possession of the game when he breaks free for a 32-yard touchdown run. After the Warriors drive to the Palmerton 5-yard line, the Bombers’ defense stiffens and keeps them out of the end zone. Moments later, Andy Wasilkowski escapes for an 81-yard scoring run. A heavy rainstorm follows, and both offenses struggle to move the ball the rest of the game. Palmerton adds a safety in the final frame on a bad snap by Wilson on a punt attempt.
