State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:

• On Oct. 14 at 8:30 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Valley Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of a physical altercation between neighbors.

It was reported that a 38-year-old man from Effort, who troopers declined to identify, went to the residence unwelcome and entered through the front door. He became verbally aggressive toward the homeowner. A fight ensued between the man and the homeowner while a 3-year-old child was laying on the floor. During the course of the altercation the child was stepped on and injured. The homeowner’s girlfriend was also injured.

• On Oct. 24 at 1:30 p.m. troopers were conducting a motor vehicle crash investigation follow up along Service Road in Chestnuthill Township, when it was discovered the driver, Nicholas Kirchner, 29, of Saylorsburg, had multiple active warrants for his arrest.

He was taken into custody and police discovered he had drug paraphernalia and narcotics. He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville on the warrants. Drug charges to be filed.

• A 15-year-old boy from Penn Forest Township was cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks for harassment after they were called to Route 903 in the township at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 16.

The victim is an 18-year-old boy from Philadelphia. Police did not disclose the nature of the incident.

• A Jim Thorpe man is facing charges following an incident that occurred on Oct. 22 at 9:34 p.m. at a residence along Unionville Road in Penn Forest Township.

Police said Vincent Bosco, 23, arrived at the residence and entered while under the influence of an unknown drug and began to cause a disturbance. The victims, three women ages 54, 20 and 19, locked themselves in their rooms because they were in fear for their safety. Charges were filed. Damages of $350 to the front door was noted.
