The Slambovian Circus of Dreams’ return to Jim Thorpe’s Mauch Chunk Opera House ranks among the area’s entertainment highlights over the next two weeks.

Set for this weekend, the Grand Slambovian Halloween Ball will bring musical mischief to the opera house. The venue will also host tributes to Jackson Browne and Motown.

Meanwhile, Penn’s Peak will host tributes to David Bowie and the Grateful Dead. Also at the Peak, Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar, will perform with fellow Frontmen country acts Larry Stewart and Tim Rushlow.

For comedy fans, Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan will perform stand-up shows in Bethlehem. In addition, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater will hold its last events of the season, while Country Junction’s Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival comes to a close.

• Celebrating David Bowie, 8 p.m. Oct. 28. The show, a tribute to David Bowie, will include performances from acts such as Todd Rundgren, Adrian Belew and Scrote.

• Dead On Live: 50 Years of Europe ’72 Halloween Show, 8 p.m. Oct. 29. The show celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s “Europe’ 72” album, which includes track such as “Cumberland Blues,” “Jack Straw” and “Ramble On Rose.”

• The Frontmen, 8 p.m. Nov. 4. The country supergroup consists of: Larry Stewart, of Restless Heart; Richie McDonald, formerly of Lonestar; and Tim Rushlow, formerly of Little Texas. Blackhawk will also perform.

• Slambovian Circus of Dreams: The Grand Slambovian Halloween Ball, 8 p.m. Oct. 28. Formed in 1998 in Sleepy Hollow, New York, the band performs folk, rock, Americana and psychedelic music. The “Spooky Fantasy Circus ” show will include covers and music from the act’s newest album “A Very Unusual Head.”

• Motor City Revue, 8 p.m. Oct. 29. The 11-piece band covers popular and rare Motown and Stax hits, plus classics from acts such as Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and The Supremes.

• Late For the Sky, 8 p.m. Nov. 4. The New Jersey band, which performs the music of Jackson Browne, takes its name from Browne’s 1974 same-titled album.

• Angel, 8 p.m. Nov. 5. The rock band, formed in Washington, D.C.., released its self-titled debut album in 1975. Known for its white-satin attire, Angel disbanded in 1981 and later reformed in the late 1990s with a new lineup. The band since has released the albums “In the Beginning” and “Risen.”

• The Victors: Fiddle Dreams, 6 p.m. Nov. 4. The band features Stephanie Morykin, father James Morykin, brother Ethan Morykin, and Daniel Gonzalez. The show will feature traditional Celtic tunes, mixed with bluegrass and pop.

• Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 30. In addition to pumpkins, the festival’s attractions include hayrides, a gem mine, and Gourd Grenades, with carnival rides and more on weekend days. All participants in the kids and pet costume contests, set for 11 a.m. and noon, respectively, on Oct. 29, receive a treat.

• Below Wrecked Halloween Party, 9 p.m. Oct. 29. The event will feature a DJ and costume contest. Ages 21 and up.

• The Illusionists: Magic of the Holidays, 8 p.m. Nov. 10. The Illusionists features a rotating cast of magicians, with each specializing in specific branches of magic, such as illusions, mind reading, escapology and comedic magic.

Born in Brooklyn, the comedian and actor’s television credits include “Saturday Night Live,” “30 Rock” and “The Last O.G.” Film credits include “Rio, ”“G-Force,” “What Men Want” and “Coming 2 America.” Morgan will portray jazz legend Louis Armstrong in the upcoming film “Armstrong.”

• The Aardvarks, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4. The cover band, formed in 2004, hails from the Lehigh Valley.

• Valerie June, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8. Born in Tennessee, the singer-songwriter’s music includes genres such as folk, soul and gospel. June released her first full-length album in 2006, with her latest, “The Moon and Stars: Prescriptions for Dreamers,” arriving in 2021.

• Michael Schenker, 7 p.m. Oct. 27. Schenker, a German rock guitarist, was an early member of Scorpions before joining the English rock band UFO in 1973. He left UFO in 1978 to form the Michael Schenker Group, later rejoining UFO multiple times.

• Pigeons Playing Ping-Pong, 8 p.m. Oct. 28. Formed in Baltimore in 2009, the funk jam band released its sixth and latest studio album “Perspective” earlier this year.

• Zero’s 30th Anniversary & Vinyl Release Tour, 8 p.m. Oct. 29. Zero, a psychedelic rock band formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1980s, features Bethlehem-born Steve Kimock. The band released latest album “Naught Again,” earlier this year.

• Keller Williams, 8 p.m. Nov. 4. Born in Virginia, the singer- songwriter - whose music includes elements of bluegrass, folk and alternative rock - will perform 2002‘s “Laugh” in its entirety. Earlier this year, Williams released his latest album, “Grit.”
