Democrats get out of the cave.

Twenty five hundred years ago Socrates provided an insight into human nature that still applies today. In his “Allegory of the Cave,” he describes how human beings are born into a cave. In this cave there are fires blazing at both ends. A shelf is cut into both sides of this cave. On the shelf there are men parading. Some men carry signs, others shout down instructions, and some carry statues of all sort. The people are exposed to these things in the smoke filled dim flickering light of the cave.

A few brave souls venture outside the cave and into the light. The light is bright and very painful to the eyes. Some run back into the cave and describe their painful experience. Others stay in the light until the pain subsides. These people are amazed at how the light has brought everything into clear focus. A precious few venture back into the cave to spread the news of how “I can see clearly now.” Some of the people in the cave berate and kill these messengers of light for invading their comfort zone. Others leave the cave, go into the light where truth and justice prevail.

Democrats, please come out of the cave.
