State police at the Frackville barracks said a driver and passenger in a vehicle that was being pursued by troopers fled the scene of the incident.

It happened a 12:17 a.m. Sept. 4 at the intersection of Route 61 and Mall Road in Ryan Township.

Police said the two left the vehicle and ran into the woods. The vehicle was recovered, police said. No other details were released.
