A 80-year-old Monroe County man says a large amount of money was taken from his bank account.

State police at Fern Ridge said troopers responded to a residence along Countryside Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, on Sept. 3 for a report of a theft. The resident told troopers that about $14,000 was removed from his bank account sometime overnight. The investigation is continuing.
