A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured when struck by a car in front of the JTNB branch on West Patterson Street in Lansford.

Lansford Sgt. Shawn Nunemacher said the girl was reported to have run out in front of a truck.

The girl was awake and alert before being flown from the scene to an Allentown hospital.

Nunemacher said she is reported to be in stable condition.

The incident is still under investigation, he said.
