State police at the Hazleton barracks are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter off a 2019 Ford in Banks Township.

Police said between 5 p.m. Sept. 7 and 7 a.m. Sept. 8 someone stole the converter off the vehicle while it was parked on North Chestnut Street in Tresckow.

Police said the converter has a value of $1,000.
