The Jim Thorpe American Legion Post 304 and the Germantown Grove Association will host the 64th annual Fishing Derby for Carbon County's special needs students.

The event will take place May 11 and 12, beginning at 9 a.m., at the Germantown Grove in Jim Thorpe.Volunteers are needed for the two-day event.Anyone wishing to volunteer their fishing talents and to assist students can contact Henry Desrosiers at 570-525-3986 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.Donations are also being accepted to help offset the costs of the fish and gifts for the students.
