The beach at Beltzville State Park is closed for the season because of low water levels, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced Thursday afternoon.

The department said if water levels continue to drop that the park’s two boat launches also could close. Go to Beltzville State Park’s website (www.dcnr.pa.gov/StateParks/FindAPark/BeltzvilleStatePark) for up-to-date information on boat launch closures or call the park office at 610-377-0045.

Other activities at Beltzville, such as picnicking, fishing and hiking, are still permitted.
