Tamaqua-Lehighton

Tamaqua make it back-to-back wins to open the season as it posted a 379-398 Schuylkill League victory over Lehighton.

Peter McGinley and Lucas Milot paced the Blue Raiders as the duo tied for a team low 87.

The Indians’ Trey Spring took medalist honors on the day with an 81.

Tamaqua improves to 2-0 overall, while Lehighton falls to 0-1.

Northwestern-Bangor

Northwestern picked up its first win of the season thanks to tie-breaking criteria.

Northwestern and Bangor both had scores of 394 through their top five golfers, but the Tigers picked up the Colonial League win by virtue of having a lower score by their sixth player.

The Slaters’ Jake Constantine led all golfers with a 90 on the day.

Stone Sosnovik paced the Tigers with a team low of 93.

Northwestern is now 1-1 on the season, while Bangor falls to 0-2 overall.
