Marian and Lehighton pick up victories

Marian and Lehighton posted boys basketball victories on Wednesday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Marian-Tri-Valley

Tyler Fritz’s 27 points led Marian to a 54-50 Schuylkill League victory over Tri-Valley.

Chris Ritsick and Keith McCall both added eight points for the Colts (3-2, 1-1).

Nate Nabholz scored 21 points in Blue Mountain’s 76-65 Schuylkill League win over Panther Valley.

Rene Figueroa scored 32 to lead Panther Valley (4-1, 1-1). The Panthers’ Brandon Stilitino hit six three-pointers, accounting for 18 of his 20 points.

Blue Mountain also won the JV game 54-36.

Jada Saeger’s big 36-point game was the highlight in Northern Lehigh’s 54-23 win over Notre Dame East Stroudsburg.

Saeger also hit four three-pointers, accounting for a quarter of her points. Lauren Hoffman added 10 points for the Bulldogs.
