Trinity happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins 9:30 a.m. Included in this time is Service of Healing, Blessing of Prayer Shawls, and Installation of Vacation Bible School Staff and Helpers.
Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety.
Coffeehouse fellowship follows the worship service in Luther Hall. Cold and hot beverages will be provided. Please bring a snack to share.

The Service of Healing with prayers are said for those to help ease one’s emotional, physical and spiritual burdens to assist and cope with daily living.
Prayer shawls are handmade by volunteers, and are to be used in times of joy or sorrow and ordinary times as a form of comfort during daily faith practices. The prayer shawls are available at no cost and may serve as a gift to a loved one.

First Tuesday worship Quiet Communion without musical accompaniment is Aug. 3 at 11 a.m.
The Trinity Thrift Store is open without reservations. Shopping and drop-off hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours, limited to five bags or boxes.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting and precautionary measures in place.
Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or seek membership at Trinity, please contact the church office to register for the 11:30 a.m. instruction sessions for August. Baptismal guidelines are held on the third Sunday monthly. Overview for prospective New Members is Sunday with Pastor Moore.
Community Vacation Bible School for students pre-K through sixth grade is Aug. 2-4, 6-8 p.m. The theme: “Making Waves; What You Do Today Can Change the World.”

Trinity Lutheran Church was built in 1873. Plans are forming to celebrate this milestone throughout 2023. You are invited to contribute ideas at a planning meeting following worship Aug. 21.
