The West Penn Township Lions Club recently honored several organizations as the 2022 Community Heroes. Each organization received a check from President Karissa Brothers from the club. The 2022 winners are West Penn Township Fire Company, $1,000; West Penn Township Community Park Association, $1,000; Penn Mahoning Ambulance, $1,000; Tamaqua Adult Day Care, $300; Tamaqua Public Library, $500; West Penn Community 4-H, $200; Boy Scouts of America Troop 755, $350; Tamaqua Salvation Army, $500.
