Fans of Jimmy Buffet in the newly formed Black Diamond Parrot Head Club are going to be busy helping to promote his love and activism for the environment and animals in Carbon County.

The club, with more than 30 members, launched its first community project Wednesday by delivering almost 300 cases of food to the Carbon County Friends of Animals, made possible through the donations and help of area businesses.

Another delivery of more than 250 cases of dog food will be taking place in the next few days to the Carbon County dog shelter in Nesquehoning.
