The Air Battle Manager graduation was held June 17 at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Among the class of 11 was 2nd Lt. Ryan W. McArdle of Jim Thorpe. During the ceremony, they received a certificate of aeronautical rating from the U.S. Air Force and their wings.

McArdle specialized in the air battle management. He will now be based at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

He is the son of Kevin and Laura McArdle and grandson of Gene and Ann Louise Hayes, and Ken and Rose McArdle, all of Jim Thorpe. Attending the ceremony were his parents and sister, Erin. He is a graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and Pitt University.
