State police at Lehighton are investigating a crash late Saturday night in East Penn Township. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. along Route 895 near the intersection with Zeigler Road.

When emergency personnel arrived on scene the driver was nowhere to be found. The truck apparently left the roadway, hitting a utility pole and snapping it off. East Penn and Mahoning Valley fire companies responded to the scene. East Penn fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
