Tavella graduates from Lock Haven

Anthony C. Tavella III recently graduated from Lock Haven University. He graduated summa cum laude, earning a 4.0 cumulative science grade-point average throughout his four years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences in the pre-physician assistant program track.

His relevant work experiences included working as a pediatric home health aide for Bayada Pediatrics in Lehighton, an emergency room technician at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Coaldale, and as a member of the Lock Haven University COVID-19 Response Team.

He is a recipient of the Lock Haven University Eagle Merit Scholarship, the St. Luke’s Miners Memorial Hospital Academic Scholarship Award, and the C. Michael Steadman Jr. Memorial Physician Assistant Scholarship. Anthony has also completed a research project with his professor on the effects of COVID-19 on exercise levels in a college-aged population.

Currently, Anthony has been accepted and is attending graduate school at Lock Haven University in the Physician Assistant Program. He is the son of Anthony and Bonnie (Barno) Tavella of Lehighton. He is the grandson of Frances and Daniel Barno of Lansford and Angeline and Anthony Tavella Sr. of Pittston and formerly Long Island, New York.
