Local Roundup: Results from June 8-9
It was a rough day for area teams on Thursday, as three legion clubs all lost.
LEHIGH VALLEY LEGION
N. Parkland-Northern Vy.
North Parkland received production up and down the lineup to roll to a 15-4 Lehigh Valley Legion victory over Northern Valley.
Every starter for North Parkland had at least one hit and either scored a run or knocked one in.
Aaron Atiyeh led the way with two hits, three runs and an RBI, while Joseph Algard added a pair of hits, a run and two RBIs.
For the Chargers, now 2-2, Sam Mauro had a hit and a run, and Cole Hausman finished with a hit and an RBI. Andrew Diehl also walked twice and scored two runs.

Carbon-Whitehall
Whitehall grabbed an early lead and then held on to gain a 6-4 Lehigh Valley Legion victory over the Carbon Monarchs.
Dylan Koury had a hit and knocked in two runs for the winners, who scored all six of their runs in the first two innings.
The Monarchs, who dropped to 1-4, received a hit and two runs from Aiden Rarick. Carbon’s Austin Greene also added a hit and an RBI.

Tamaqua-Schuylkill Valley
Schuylkill Valley used a pair of four-run innings to help post a 12-3 Schuylkill-Berks Legion victory over Tamaqua.
Justin Sickle, Ryan Grace and Arjun Patel all knocked in two runs for the Falcons, who built a 4-0 lead after the first inning.
The Blue Sox - who received a hit and an RBI from Cian McLaughlin - tallied three times in the third to keep the game close, but Schuylkill Valley used another four-run frame in the fourth to help pull away for the win.
Tamaqua’s Stephen Modesto also added a hit and a run.
The loss dropped the Blue Sox to 0-3.

Bangor-Franklin Township
Bangor edged Franklin Township 3-2 in a Lehigh Valley Senior Connie Mack contest Wednesday.
Balok provided an extra base hit with a double for Bangor and also scored a run.
Fahrenbach and Siteer also singled and scored. Rinaldi tossed seven solid innings, striking out four while allowing five hits and one walk.
Adam Bastone was 2-for-2 with a single, double and two runs scored for Franklin.
Cameron Gable added an RBI double, and Carter Birnbaum delivered a run-scoring single. Dawson Keiser also singled.
