The Rev. Elmer E. Johnson was installed as senior pastor of Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive W., Lehighton.

He graduated in 1969 from the Dallas Theological Seminary and from 1970-74 completed doctoral studies at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, Portland, Oregon.

He and his wife, Susan, currently reside in Macungie with their daughters, Rebekah and Stephanie. They also have a married daughter, Jodi Shorb, who resides in Emmaus with her husband, Andy.
