Attorney Cindy Ray of Weatherly was elected to her third term as chairman of the Carbon County Republican Party during yesterday’s meeting.

She outpolled Robert Zovak of Jim Thorpe by a tally of 52-38.

The party’s other officers were re-elected by unanimous vote. They include Gilbert Gerhard, Packer Township, vice chairman; Rosemary Kintz, Summit Hill, treasurer; and Irene Hoppes, Jim Thorpe, secretary.

Area chairmen elected are Bob Potestio, Weatherly; Dorothy Kuntz, Lehighton, John Faust, Palmerton; Kintz, Panther Valley; and Marie Fredericks, Jim Thorpe.
