Barthold, Frame are NO. LEHIGH Athletes of the Year
Katelynn Barthold and Matt Frame were recently named Northern Lehigh’s Athletes of the Year. Barthold was a member of the soccer, basketball and track and field teams. In soccer, the freshman led the Bulldogs with 17 goals. She also added eight assists to finish with a team-best 42 points. In basketball, she started and averaged 7.86 points per game – second best on the team. On the track, Barthold earned a trip to the PIAA state meet in the Class 2A 1600 after a runner-up finish at districts. She was also fourth in the 800 at districts. Frame was a member of the football, wrestling and track and field teams. On the gridiron he finished with the fourth most single-season rushing yards (1,692) in Bulldog history. He also scored 28 touchdowns. In wrestling, the senior punched his ticket to states with a fifth-place finish at the Southeast Regional Tournament after a third-place result at districts. On the track, he was part of the 400 relay team that won a District 11 title and qualified for states. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
