Local roundup: Results from June 1
The Berlinsville Braves won for the second time in as many days in Blue Mountain League action Wednesday, while Franklin Township posted a victory in Connie Mack play.
BLUE MTN. LEAGUE
Berlinsville-Northampton
The Berlinsville bats stayed hot in a 10-6 win over Northampton in Blue Mountain League action.
Leadoff hitter Noah Snisky singled, Shane Fillman doubled, and Austin Mueller belted a two-run double. Owen Fischl then delivered a two-run homer to give the Braves (3-3) an early 4-0 lead.
Snisky finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Fillman (double, two RBIs), Fischl (double, two RBIs, two runs scored, home run) and Conor Howland (two RBIs, double, run scored) all had two hits apiece for Berlinsville. Logan Wentz added a double and an RBI.
Chase Yochem was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer for the Giants (1-4).

Franklin Township rolled to a 9-2 win over Nazareth in Lehigh Valley Senior Connie Mack play.
Stephen Balak knocked in three runs and had a single, double and a run scored for Franklin. Adam Bastone was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a walk, while Dawson Keiser tripled and recorded three RBIs and had a run scored. Carter Birnbaum tossed four solid innings, striking out five while allowing one earned run, four hits and one walk. Aidan Albert tossed two scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Palmerton-Salisbury
Josh Holler pitched a gem to lead Salisbury to a 1-0 win over Palmerton in Lehigh Valley Senior Connie Mack action.
Holler struck out 11 and allowed just three hits while surrendering two walks in seven innings of work. James Scialla had an RBI in the third inning to score Caleb Gonzalez, who had a double.
AJ Borger, Derek King and Mason Becker all had hits for Palmerton.

Carbon-Salisbury
Salisbury turned back a late rally from Carbon to come away with a 6-5 Lehigh Valley Senior Legion victory.
Randy Bongiorno was 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Monarchs, who scored five runs over the final two innings and finished with 13 hits. Jack Edwards had three hits and an RBI for Carbon, while Talan Sensinger (double, two runs scored), Garrett Lienhard (run scored) and Rich Strack (RBI) all added two hits apiece.
Matthew Nunez doubled with two RBIs and a run scored for Salisbury, which scored all six of its runs in the second inning. Andrew Grejda also doubled with a run scored, while Hunter Rothrock collected two hits and scored a run.
