A Schuylkill County man is facing charges in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said on April 13 at 4:51 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2005 Dodge Stratus at Scenic Drive and Jonas Road in Polk Township for ongoing criminal activity.

While investigating the criminal activity the driver, Rafael Trinidad, 23, of Coaldale, was found to be in possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said charges will be filed.
