CCTI students set to host a new podcast

Students at Carbon Career & Technical Institute plan to produce a new podcast for the school called “Tech-Talk.”

“We had the idea awhile ago to produce a podcast for CCTI,” explained Craig Conville, the club president and a junior in CCTI’s Drafting program, from Panther Valley. “We presented the idea to Mr. (Brent) Borzak and Mrs. (Michelle) Allen, and the idea was met with great enthusiasm.”

So far, 10 students have joined the new club.

The students plan to do interviews with tech teachers and students, as well as administrative teachers and students, winners of school competitions, other school organizations, anything related to the school.

“We want it to be informative and entertaining,” Conville said, “and we want it to be a way to bring the school together and spread the news about CCTI to other places.”

“We will also be working with the newspaper club to help figure out what’s going on in the school and help share the information,” said Club Vice President Nova Kuntzman, a graphic design junior from Lehighton.
