Four retiring teachers of the Jim Thorpe Area School District were honored last night when the annual dinner meeting of the Jim Thorpe Area Teachers Association was held at the Mahoning Valley Country Club.

Cited for service were R.F. Dubs, principal of the Jim Thorpe High School who has been in the field of education for 40 years; F.B. Myers, a science teacher with 41 years of service; Mrs. Howard E. Davis, elementary teacher for 25 years; and Mrs. Christopher Theophilus, high school teacher for 37 years.

Each of the retiring teachers received a gift, the presentations having been made by John Lennon of Jim Thorpe, president of the association.
