State police at Frackville report on crashes

State police at Frackville reported investigating the following Schuylkill County crashes:

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:38 p.m. on April 10 along Brockton Mountain Drive in Ryan Township. Troopers said Ryan S. Fulton, 29, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound when the vehicle went onto the berm and struck a utility pole. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side facing south.

Fulton was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.

He was cited for driving while operating privilege is suspended.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:34 p.m. on April 26 along Morea Road in Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Rafael L. Almonte Parra, 59, of Reading, was driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota westbound in the right lane when he said he felt his vehicle begin to shake. Parra lost control, with his truck striking a 2010 Jeep Cherokee, which was parked along the side of the road experiencing engine problems.

The driver of the Cherokee was Philip I. Klemow, 35, of Frackville.

No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Parra was cited for the crash.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:19 p.m. on April 28 along South Rabbit Run Road in East Brunswick Township. Troopers said Jonathan A. Santana, 25, of Pottsville, was driving a 2009 Subaru Forester westbound and attempting a turn when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went into an embankment area on the left side.

Santana and his passenger were not injured. The vehicle was towed and he was cited for the crash.

• A Yardley, Bucks County, driver is facing a driving under the influence charge following a crash that occurred at 8:04 p.m. on April 6 along Interstate 81 in Kline Township. Troopers said Kevin B. Beck, 26, was driving a Honda Civic southbound, following a commercial vehicle when he said he began to slow down. He lost control and collided with the vehicle in front of him. He said the commercial vehicle continued south as did he when he exited the interstate at Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township. The commercial vehicle never stopped. The Honda sustained front end damage. No injuries were reported.

Beck submitted to a blood test and was found to be under the influence.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:24 p.m. on April 18 along Route 901 in Butler Township. Troopers said Branden S. Snyder, 31, of Mount Carmel, was operating a 2000 Dodge Durango northbound and Nafeesa K. Peoples, 35, of Saint Clair, was driving a 2015 Toyota Corolla, southbound. Both were negotiating a curve in the road when Snyder lost control. His vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided into the Corolla.

No injuries were reported.

Snyder was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported on April 25 at 8:12 a.m. in McAdoo. Troopers said a vehicle was driven eastbound on East Blaine Street, near the intersection with Cleveland Street, when it struck the side of a parked 2002 GMC Yukon. After impact the driver fled the scene.
