CYO hosts tennis carnival, planning fall events

Students in the Diocese of Allentown’s Catholic Youth Organization of District 5 held a Tennis Carnival at Valley Royale, Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, on Saturday.

Boys and girls enjoyed a day of tennis, plus face painting, a pie eating contest, and food like hot dogs, popcorn and bottled water.

District 5 is composed of students within the Carbon and North Schuylkill Deaneries of the Diocese of Allentown.

Other upcoming events in District 5 include a spelling bee to be held in October, and a Bowling Tournament on Nov. 19 at Fritz’ Lanes. SS. Peter & Paul is also looking for boy and girl runners for a proposed countywide Cross Country Team representing local parishes and schools. Call Phil Liska for more information: 610-217-4768.

Valley Royale is a club that offers a variety of programs such as mini camps for students, Round Robin, the ever-popular pickleball, plus a variety of tennis games for adults. https://valleyroyaletennis.com/.
