One person was seriously injured early Friday morning in a crash along Route 309 in West Penn Township.

The crash occurred just after midnight just south of the Fegley minimart.

The driver lost control and the late model pickup rolled onto its side against a tree. Route 309 was shut down as emergency personnel landed a medical transport helicopter at the scene. West Penn township police are investigating the incident.
