An Award of Appreciation was presented by Lansford Borough Council members to Daniel and Ralph Cipko for their generous donation in allowing the borough to purchase a drug and patrol dog for use in its police department.

President Rosemary Cannon was joined by council members Dwight Penberth, Gabe Fritz, Stanley Zwolenik and Robert Gaughan, as well as Mayor George Karjnak, in thanking the brothers for bringing Ajax, a German shepherd that responds to Slovak commands, to the borough.
