State police at Frackville

State police at Frackville reported on the following cases:

• On April 10 at 6:49 a.m. troopers responded to West Lloyd Street in Shenandoah for a report of a disturbance. Troopers said Richard Catena, 43, of Tamaqua, entered an apartment building and engaged a man from Shenandoah in physical contact. He fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers.

Charges of burglary, trespass and assault have been filed against Catena.

• A New Philadelphia woman is facing charges after calling the barracks at least 22 times without an emergency. On April 14 at 10:50 p.m. Maureen Sullivan, 58, called troopers to report the CIA was at her residence and was using a chain saw to cut through her roof. It was determined that Sullivan was under the influence of alcohol and was told to stop calling 911 and the barracks unless she had an emergency. She also called the county 911 line five times for no legitimate reason.

Charges of harassment by communications and related counts have been filed.

• On April 9 at 8:03 a.m. troopers responded to a residence along Shade Street in Middleport where two family members had an argument over household matters. The altercation became physical.

The two women, ages 33 and 30, who troopers declined to identify, were cited for harassment - physical contact.
