Dear Editor,

I just read that Carbon County Correctional Facility will be receiving programs for drug and alcohol treatment. This is much needed and I’m glad to see it is finally being addressed. I am totally appalled that money for this plan is being taken from the prisoners’ commissary funds. I say this because there always seems to be money or grants for projects or buildings but when the prisoners need money it is taken from them. It just doesn’t seem fair.
