State police at the Pocono barracks were involved in a chase of a driver traveling the wrong was on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at 10:20 p.m. April 12, but the chase was terminated for safety reasons.
Police said a trooper saw a Jeep Wrangler traveling northbound in the southbound lanes around Exit 95/Pocono Interchange, and the driver of the vehicle failed to stop when police activated the lights and siren of the police vehicle.
Police said the Wrangler traveled south on I-476 and got off the turnpike at Exit 87/Lake Harmony before the chase was ended.
