The Carbon County Salary Board took the following actions during its monthly meeting on Thursday.

All actions were unanimous in the votes and are effective April 7 unless otherwise noted.

• Court Administration: Change the rate of one law clerk (temporarily) from $41,423.20 per year to $39,057.20 per year, retroactive to March 14; change the rate of one department clerk from $13.06 per hour to $11.95 per hour.

• Adult probation: Change the rate of one adult probation treatment court specialist from $12.07 per hour to $11.38 per hour.

• District attorney: Establish the position of one full-time assistant district attorney 4 at $65,276.46 per year; change the salary of one part-time assistant district attorney 2 from $44,632.06 per year to $44,336.95 per year, effective April 16; and abolish the position of one part-time assistant district attorney 3 at $44,336.95 per year, effective April 16.

• Public defender: Change the rate of one legal secretary III from $14.41 per hour to $13.18 per hour.

• Commissioners’ office: Change the salary of one county solicitor from $62,477 per year to $75,000, effective April 16.

Commissioner Rocky Ahner pointed out that the increase is due to the new county solicitor also acting in capacity as solicitor to tax assessment and tax claim offices.

• Parks: Change the rate of one seasonal park ranger I from $14.53 per hour to $14.97 per hour, effective April 24.

• Tax assessment: Abolish the position of one solicitor at $5,796.38 per year, effective April 16.

• Tax claim: Abolish the position of one solicitor at $11,592.74 per year, effective April 16.
