It’s the end of an era for a Tamaqua family-owned business.

Bob and Bonnie Miller, owners of Miller’s News Agency, closed their store today for the last time after having owned and operated it for the last 30 years.

The business, which has spanned two generations of the Miller family, as well as multiple previous owners, is located on Center Street in the community.

Bob’s father, Joseph Miller, owned the store for nine years before his son took over the business. Before that, the store, which was then called Five Points Cigar Store, was owned by Neil Brady in the 1950s.
