SS. Peter and Paul Church

SS. Peter and Paul Church, 260 N. Third St., Lehighton, announces the following schedule:

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at SS. Peter and Paul Parish by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 a.m.

Father Zelonis offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and 45 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Stations of the Cross will be prayed on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. during Lent.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Services include: individual, marriage and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals).

Meals

The Knights of Columbus Damien Council #598 is holding a breakfast on Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon in the parish hall, $10 for adults, $5 for children. Enjoy breakfast and learn about this solid fraternal organization for Catholic men and their families.

The Lenten Fish Fry is on March 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the parish hall. Your $12 ticket gets you haddock, french fries, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw and dessert.

Confirmation

Please pray for the nine young people of our parish who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on March 31 at St. Joseph Church in Jim Thorpe.

Paint and Sip

A “paint and sip” will take place on April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in our church hall.

Participants will paint the Divine Mercy image.
